Some important Core words to begin with: 

  1. WANT - request an object - How to teach requesting?
  2. MORE - request more of an object or activity (recurrence) - How to teach requesting?
  3. NOT, DON'T - stopping an ongoing activity, negation, protest - How to teach negation?
  4. FINISHED / DONE / ALL DONE (adjective) - completion of activity
  5. STOP / GO - cessation or start of action or activity - instruction, request 
  6. LIKE (verb) - expression of preference - How to teach commenting?
  7. ON / IN / UNDER (prepositions) - location - How to teach prepositions?
  8. WHAT / WHERE (questions) - How to teach "What"How to teach "Where"?
  9. I / YOU (pronouns)
