Avaz is useful for non-verbal children, having Autism Spectrum, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Challenges etc.
Avaz has a number of settings that make it more adaptive for children with a wide range of cognitive, physical and motor capabilities.
For varying Cognitive levels
- Vocabulary - Avaz has 3 levels of vocabulary, starting from Level 1 (around 150 words) to Level 3 (5000 words approx)
- No. of pictures per screen - Starting from 1 picture, 2, 4, 8, 15, 24 and 40 pictures per screen
Motor capabilities
- you can use Apple's settings to set up Avaz in Scan mode
- set up fewer pictures per screen using No. of pics per screen setting
For varying Visual capabilities
- Zoom setting - enlarges the tapped image or letter
- Contrast setting- makes the background dark to provide
- Audio setting - Audio feedback on every tap
- Larger image size - through the setting No. of pics per screen
