Avaz's vocabulary - Pragmatic vocabulary is supported by a horizontal scroll (left to right), to aid the natural and intuitive scanning of words from left to right. The vocabulary is displayed with a horizontal scroll. However, for specific language vocabularies (like India, Denmark and Australia vocabulary) Avaz versions have a vertical scroll (top to bottom)., retaining it due to the original versions.
For Avaz versions earlier than version 4.0, the page had a vertical scroll (top to bottom). However for the later versions, (from 4.0 and above), the vocabulary is changed to Avaz Pragmatic vocabulary which is supported by a horizontal scroll (left to right), to aid the natural and intuitive scanning of words from left to right.
Note:
- If you currently have Avaz version less than 4.0, there is ONLY vertical scroll.
- If you have purchased Avaz version 4.x and above:
- there is only Horizontal scroll
- However, if you had purchased Avaz earlier and then updated Avaz (from an earlier version of Avaz (less than ver4.0) to 4.x:
- your vocabulary will retain the original vertical scroll direction (top to bottom), so that there is no disruption for the child
- If you create a new page/folder under any of the existing folders, the new folder / page will inherit the same characteristic as the parent folder - i.e., if the parent folder has vertical scroll, the child folder also has vertical scroll.
- But if you create a folder under the Root folder, it will have horizontal scroll. If you wish to change this back to a vertical scroll, copy and paste this folder under any other existing folder that already has the vertical scroll.
- If you do a Restore Avaz Pragmatic Vocabulary from the Settings, you will have the new horizontal scroll only
- If you restore an Avaz backup from any other app that is version 4.0 or greater, then you will get only the new horizontal scroll.
