In version 8.0 and above, Avaz features three folder types:

There are different folder properties that can be set at the folder level, and this varies depending on the folder type:

  1. Auto-back - What is auto-back and how to set it up for a folder?

  4. Export / Import a folder - How to export-import a folder content to another device?


Different folder types and their properties

  1. Regular Folders:
    These are the regular folders that you create using Add New > Folder and have the following characteristics: 
    • Settings: Auto Back, Pictures per screen (Grid size). 
    • Arrangement: Default / Alphabetical order (A-Z)
    • Import / Export: Export & Share Current Folder, Browse Folder Backups, Import from File Browser

       

       
  2. Linked Folders:
    • Behaves like any regular folder.  


  3. Frozen Row Folders:

Default Arrangement: Represents the standard vocabulary layout provided by Avaz, maintaining all edit functionalities.




Alphabetical Order (A-Z): Rearranges all words (excluding folders) within a folder alphabetically. 




Note: If you have items in a folder arranged as default arrangement and you choose Alphabetical arrangement from the Folder Options in Edit mode, the words will be sorted alphabetically. However, the folder will remain in its original position, as in the default arrangement. See the screenshot below:
