One of the ways of transferring content (Avaz backup) between two iPads is through iTunes, or also between two Avaz apps on the same device.


Note that the iTunes method:

  • Does not require internet access. 
  • Is not suitable for syncing content with Android devices. 

For MacBook users


A) Transfer backup from source iPad to MacBook


1. Connect the iPad to your MacBook using a suitable cable.
2. Open the Finder window


3. Tap on your iPad that shows up on the Left side bar


4. Tap on Files on the top Menu


5. Select the app (Avaz) that you are looking for. You will be able to see the backup listed there.


6. Copy this backup to your Mac.  


B) Transfer backup from MacBook to destination device

  1. Connect the destination device to the MacBook using a suitable cable.
  2. Open the Finder window. 
  3. Tap on the destination iPad to see the list of apps. 
  4. Select the new Avaz AAC app.  
  5. Copy the backup from the Mac to the iPad, through the corresponding location under Avaz, and it will reflect in the Avaz app. 

 


For earlier versions of iTunes


A. Copy the backup from iPad 1 (source device) to your laptop (via iTunes)
  1. Plug in your iPad 1 to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Launch iTunes on your computer if it doesn't launch automatically.
  3. Select your iPad in iTunes. 
  4. Tap Apps from the left panel.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Avaz app from the left panel  This displays the list of files on the Documents panel on the right.
  6. Select the backup file and and tap Save to button on the bottom of the right panel, and choose the location on your computer to save the backup file. This will copy the backup file to your computer. 


B. Copy the backup from your laptop to iPad 2 (destination device) - via iTunes
  1. Plug in your iPad 2 to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Launch iTunes on your computer if it doesn't launch automatically.
  3. Select your iPad in iTunes.
  4. Tap Apps from the left panel.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Avaz app from the left panel  This displays the list of files in the Documents panel on the right. 
  6. Tap Add File button on the bottom of the right panel
  7. Select the backup file that you want to copy from your computer and click Open. 
  8.  The selected backup file is restored to the iPad and you will see it in the list of documents.
